Locker Loot ("we", "us") operates a school-based vending and student-design platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices students, parents, and schools have. Plain language only.

What we collect

  • Account data: name, grade, school, and a parent-verified email for students under 13.
  • Submissions: designs students upload to the app.
  • Voting activity: which designs a student votes for.
  • Purchase data: what's bought at the machine, when, and the total amount.
  • Payment data: processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: standard log information (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.

Why we collect it

  • Run the drop cycle: collect submissions, run votes, pay designers, fulfill orders.
  • Send important account and order notifications.
  • Calculate royalties and the school's revenue share.
  • Protect the platform from abuse, fraud, and inappropriate content.

Students under 13 (COPPA)

We require verified parental consent before a child under 13 can create an account. Parents can review what we have, request changes, or delete the account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We collect the minimum needed to run the platform — never more.

Student educational records (FERPA)

Locker Loot operates as a service provider to participating schools. We treat any student data shared by the school under a school-official designation, use it only for the purposes the school authorizes, and never sell it. Schools can request a copy or deletion of their student data at any time.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not show ads to students.
  • We do not use student data to build profiles for third parties.
  • We do not retain payment card numbers.

Opt-out and deletion

Parents can disable submissions, voting, or purchases for their student at any time. Account deletion requests are honored within 30 days. Email [email protected] from the verified parent email on file.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will notify schools and parents at least 30 days in advance. The "last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
